EAIC publishes joint position paper on the future EU funding framework (2028–2034)
As a member of EAIC, we welcome the publication of its joint position paper outlining key recommendations for the European Commission’s next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
The paper addresses key instruments such as FP10, the European Competitiveness Fund (ECF), and the National & Regional Partnership Plans (NRPPs), advocating for a more integrated EU funding approach that connects research, innovation, industrial deployment, and regional development.
Among its main recommendations are the need for a more ambitious and stable budget, including at least €200 billion for FP10, greater predictability through multiannual planning, and transparent, excellence-based evaluation processes.
The paper also highlights the importance of clear governance across funding instruments and ensuring fair access through a balanced use of grants and financial tools.
